Past Saturday,80-year old Peter Lewis, famous cannabis legalization advocate and drug reform supporter, has died in his house in Coconut Groove, Florida due to natural causes.
The CEO of Progressive Insurance, Peter Lewis has donated over $40 million dollars to the marijuana legalization reform since 1980's. As people say, Mr Lewis was inspired to support marijuana after he used it as a medicine at age 64, after he had a partial amputation on his left leg after the incurable infection.
One of the most high-profile billionaires supporter of the reform , Peter Lewis told the Forbes that "Our marijuana laws are outdated, ineffective and stupid. Everything that has been done to enforce these laws has had a negative effect."
